Q & A

Wedding Photography Q & A

The best reason for booking a professional photographer is because you not only love their portfolio but also because you can trust in them. They should produce images that not only reflect beauty but show the true nature of you who are as a Couple or Family. You only get that “one” moment so make sure you choose wisely.

Rest assure that you are in good hands with NATASHA BEAUMONT PHOTOGRAPHY. My years of experience, education and technical ability are crucial aspects to working with light and documenting all of your details. I pride myself on producing creative images that stand out from the crowd.

I am committed to making sure you and your guests feel at ease and I will help to guide you throughout the day to achieve the best results whilst maintaining a relaxed feel to your day. As a professional I know how important your memories are and I promise to tell YOUR LOVE story the way you have dreamed it be…

How long have you been in the wedding photography business?

You could say I was born with a Canon Camera attached to the end of my arm! For over 10 years I have captured thousands of weddings Nationally and Internationally. I was awarded the highly sought after scholarship to the acclaimed Photography College ICPP in 1998 and have been specialising in Weddings ever since then.

What’s your primary shooting style?

Over the years I have become known for capturing the mood and feeling of your wedding with elegance, warmth and artistry. Re-defining Wedding Photography into an art form. I do believe candid images are my forte but I also have the capability to create images that can be of a composed nature. I have an eye for the very finest details or spontaneous moments while making sure I blend into the Wedding Day so that you and your guests can be as relaxed and natural as possible.

With the amount of experience I have had in the Wedding Industry I know it can be quite unnerving booking with some of the larger photographic companies that will supply you with an unknown photographer on your big day! I can assure you I will be the photographer on the day of your Wedding and your personal point of contact throughout your planning and post production process. On the day of the Wedding there will always be an assistant so your assured the day will run smoothly.

Do you and your assistant have a dress code?

It is important that I am dressed appropriately and professionally. Each photographer or assistant I use adhere to my strict dress code that would easily blend in as a guest would on the Wedding Day.

Do we receive all the images from the Wedding Day?

With every Wedding Collection Package you will receive the original high resolution images and the retouched & edited high resolution images on a quality USB drive to KEEP. Copyright FREE.

How many images should we expect to have in the Edited Collection?

Depending on the hours and number of photographers within your package, you will have a minimum of 700 images and up to a maximum of 2,000 high-resolution EDITED images of your wedding day. You will however also be receiving EVERY image we shoot so if there is a favourite one not EDITED then we can go back to the editing suite for you.

Albums are not included in your packages but do you still provide Albums?

YES! The main reason why I don’t add them into the packages is due to the vast array of clientele that I have had over the years. Some love the FULL ULTIMATE collection and others like to add on the extras after the Wedding Day- even years later! The quality, style & uniqueness of the Albums that I do provide is of the highest standard. I work with many of the best album manufacturers and so there are many to choose from. If Albums are a MUST inclusion I will simply connect you with Melodee Miller from Chocolate Brown Designs and she can take the design and print process from there. This way I am not the one profiting on the Album sale so you can spend more on the quality and size of Album. Simple and Easy!

Do you tailor design packages outside of what is currently offered?

YES! The package collections act only as a guideline to the services & products. I love the opportunity of sitting down with our clients & putting together a package that suits their needs & budget perfectly. JUST ASK!

How long does it take to receive our images?

NATASHA BEAUMONT PHOTOGRAPHY prides itself on presenting your images professionally and well. Time is spent in editing & retouching your photos, this is very time consuming. The time frame that I work for is within 4-6 weeks from the date of your wedding.

“It’s just a Family Portrait!” Why should I use a professional photographer?

We all know how fast time flies and how we all long to have time stand still. We all desire to have our walls filled with Family memories but yet we might lack the time, the equipment and the skill to capture those images for our Family Album. Choosing a professional photographer takes the stress away from missing those milestones as they happen.

I pride myself in creating photographs that represent your sense of style, culture and Family traditions whilst maintaining that classic look. I know each Family is unique and it is my aim to achieve those images that you KNOW are YOUR individual emotions and expressions.

When should I book my pregnancy portraits?

I believe the best time for a pregnancy portrait session is usually around 30 weeks into the pregnancy. As babies tend to run on their own timeline, it’s probably best not to leave it much later. You can however book a time when you think it suits you and the baby!

When is the best time to book a portrait shoot for my newborn?

It’s better to aim for between 6-12 weeks after birth. This gives them enough time to form bonds and routines, allowing us to schedule a time that works within their needs.

What should we wear and bring to our Family portrait session?

It’s not everyday you engage a professional photographer to capture your family’s moments. For this reason it is important to prepare for your session. Here are some tips to help you prepare for clothing:

• We recommend choosing classic clothing that will remain timeless in your photographs.
• Plain clothing without logos works well.
• Try to avoid heavily patterned clothing and stripes as this can date.
• Wear colours that compliment each other. For example you can all wear bright colours.
• Neutral colours and denim work well.
• With small children/ babies bring an extra set of clothes.
• Bring along a favourite toy (but keep hidden).
• Bring a towel in case they get wet at the beach.
• Minimal makeup has a greater longevity in photographs.

How many people can be in our portrait shoot?

There is no limit to the number of people in your shoot, however one family per session is ideal as the photographer can maximize shooting time. Family pets are also welcome to be included and make a great addition to your family portrait.

How soon after the session will it take for our images to be ready?

After your photographic session your images will be expressed posted within 2-3 weeks. During Christmas and Summer seasons the times will vary and please allow for this when booking your session.
